So I'm in good company. No less than Paul Myers himself has spoken up about "hacks":
- You can sell anything with good marketing. Even slop.
- Slop costs you the back end and repeat sales. Better sell a lot up front.
In context, Paul's talking about good products marred by poor execution (in this case, poor editing—and I'm pretty sure he's got "12 Month Internet Millionaire" in mind), but the same principle applies: if you're a hack putting out products with no real value to the buyer, the product is going to hit the round file and your buyer will never buy from you again.
